ACADEMIC GOVERNING COUNCIL :

A college’s faculty makes or breaks the college. And we at PB College of Engineering are proud to introduce our distinguished faculty which guides students through 4 years of academia with skill and knowledge. Meet the academic governing council of PB Engineering College.

Padmashree Dr B Dattaguru: A widely respected name in Aerospace circles, Dr Dattaguru is a PhD holder from IISc, Bangalore with over 40 years of experience in teaching. In the early 80s, he worked with the NASA as a senior resident research associate at Langley in Virginia, USA. He is also a visiting professor at Penn State University, Pennsylvania and Geelong University in Australia. Dr Dattaguru received the Academic Excellence award from the DRDO in 2002 from the then PM, Atal Behari Vajpayee for 25 years of service in PhD. He was also a Padmashree awardee in 2005 for Aerospace Science & Engineering, recognition for 40 years of contribution to the field. Dr Dattaguru has co-authored 9 books and writes for a variety of journals.

Dr N Ramani: He was instrumental in bringing in a scientific temperament to designing, maintaining & operating computer networks at ISRO in Bangalore. Dr Ramani was a key contributor to the success of the satellites Aryabhata, Bhaskara and Rohini, amongst others. Dr Ramani has traded knowledge with the keenest minds in the Indian & international space research field. A PhD from IISc, Bangalore, Mr Ramani has 40 years of experience in research. He was a pioneer in designing computer simulation models for aircraft monitoring & maintenance for Air India. Dr Ramani has co-authored 8 books and published numerous papers in distinguished journals.

Dr G Subbalakshmi: She was featured in the International Who’s Who of Professional and Business Women in 2001 and is the guiding force behind PBCE. Armed with a PhD in Chemistry, she has 3 decades of teaching experience under her belt. Dr Subbalakshmi was a member of the Board of Postgraduate Studies at Manonmanium Sundaranar University in Tamil Nadu. She has also set examination papers for autonomous colleges and institutions. Dr Subbalakshmi is widely published and has lectured at national and international symposiums.

Dr GK Dwaraka Nath: Also the Principal of the college, he is a PhD holder in Chemical Engineering from Madras University. Dr Dwaraka Nath brings with him over 10 years of teaching experience and 2 decades of industry experience. He has held and continues to hold important positions at Anna University and guides numerous national engineering societies in his capacities ranging from Chairman to member. Mr Dwaraka Nath is well-published in national journals and has authored a book titled “Chemical Engineering: Practice and Drawings” in 1997. He continues to participate in national and international workshops and symposiums.
